Inclusion & Disabilities Services

Fostering an Inclusive Community

We are proud that the Pozez JCC is a warm and welcoming community which celebrates diversity, inclusion, and belonging – and honors the gifts and strengths that we each possess.

The Pozez JCC Inclusion and Disabilities Services Program is committed to helping the community through activities designed to develop physical and social skills for individuals with disabilities.

The program features:

  • Educational Workshops and Special Events
  • Programs and Classes
  • Resources
  • Summer Camp

The program features small participant-staff ratios and offerings such as social groups, recreation programs, cooking, and much more!

SOCIAL SKILLS CLASSES

Offered for preschool and school-aged children to learn and practice social interactions. The classes are geared towards children with Level 1 Autism, ADHD, developmental delays, and/or related social communication disorders.

Meets monthly to explore new places and experiences together. Opportunities for teens and adults with disabilities to socialize and participate in fun games and activities.

Inclusion Resources
At a hostel in the Asakusa neighborhood of Tokyo, I noticed the colorful wood table after breakfast. It reminded me not of Tokyo but the colors of South America where I would be headed to next, almost a foreshadowing of my travels.
