At the Pozez JCC, we would like to welcome you to our Center and make your move as easy as possible. Members of JCCs and YMHAs from other cities are considered members of the Pozez JCC for one month, or until their membership expires, whichever comes first.

  • Membership dues are paid monthly by credit/debit card or electronic funds transfer (EFT).
  • A one-time activation fee ($29) and enrollment fee ($99) is applied to all J-Family memberships. A one-time activation fee ($29) is applied to all J-Journey memberships.
  • Cancellation requires a 30-day written notice, during which fees will apply. Memberships that are on hold cannot be cancelled until the hold period has lapsed, after which a cancellation request can be submitted.
  • Fees are non-refundable, non-transferrable, and no refunds are granted for non-use of the facility.
  • Requests to place membership accounts on hold can be accommodated for up to 6 months and will be effective from the first to the last day of the month. A $10 hold fee will be assessed monthly throughout the duration of the hold. Once the hold is lifted, full dues will be collected accordingly. Members who pay on an annual basis do not have a hold option. All requests will be reviewed prior to processing.
  • If a member wishes to downgrade their membership, a $50 fee will be assessed.
  • If a membership lapses for more than 30 days, activation and enrollment fees will apply for rejoining.
  • While at the J, all children under the age of 13 must be accompanied by an adult. Children who are 13 or 14 may use the J-Fit Health Club only after meeting with a personal trainer for a complimentary assessment.
  • A Household membership is required when enrolling in our Early Childhood Learning Center (ECLC), School-Age Services and After-School Program (Chai 5), and Camp Achva and must remain active throughout the duration of the program(s).
  • The Pozez JCC reserves the right to photograph and/or videotape activities for use in publicity and promotional materials. Please notify the J in writing if you do not want photos of yourself or your family members to be used. By providing a recent photo, the J will do its best to ensure that you and/or your family members are not included in promotional materials.
  • All emails will be automatically added to the Pozez JCC communications network.
  • Use of any recreational facility and participation in any activity involves a risk of accidental injury despite all safety precautions. Having been informed of the activities to be conducted by the Pozez JCC, I/we, as an individual or as a parent or guardian of the participants named herein, assume all risks and hazards incidental to the activities, and release from responsibility and all liability, claims, costs and damages including attorney fees and costs and agree to indemnify and hold harmless the Pozez JCC, their officers, directors, independent contractors, volunteers, and all employees of any illness, injury or damage to me or my children, or my family members occurring during the use of any recreation facility or participation in any activities conducted by the Pozez JCC.

The Pozez JCC offers membership discounts to the following:

Active-Duty Military:
Receive a complimentary Individual or Senior Individual membership, activation fee ($29) and enrollment fee ($99) apply.
If joining as a Senior Couple or Household, pay the difference in dues amount. Activation fee ($29) and enrollment fee ($99) apply.

Clergy:
Receive a complimentary Individual or Senior Individual membership, activation fee ($29) and enrollment fee ($99) are waived.
If joining as a Senior Couple or Household, pay the difference. Must pay the activation fee ($29), enrollment fee ($99) is waived

First Responders/Service Person (EMT’s, Firefighters, Law Enforcement): Receive a complimentary Individual or Senior Individual membership, activation fee ($29) and enrollment fee ($99) are waived.
If joining as a Senior Couple or Household, pay the difference. Activation fee ($29) and enrollment fee ($99) are waived.

INOVA Employees: 
Receive 20% off membership dues.
If joining as a Senior Couple or Household, pay the difference. Activation fee ($29) and enrollment fee ($99) apply.

FCPS Teacher: 
Receive 20% off their membership dues.
If joining as a Senior Couple or Household, pay the difference. Activation fee ($29) and enrollment fee ($99) apply.

Bethlehem Lutheran Member:
Initial fees waived ($29+$99). Monthly dues apply.
If joining as a Senior Couple or Household, pay the difference. Activation fee ($29) and enrollment fee ($99) are waived.

NOTE: When a Pozez JCC membership promo/sale is running, anyone who qualifies for any of the above discounts, or is signing up as a J-Journey member, does not qualify for the promo. We do not ‚Äúdouble dip‚ÄĚ with promos/discounts.

The safety of our cardholders and guests is our top priority. When joining, each cardholder (age 13+) is issued a Photo-ID that must be swiped at secured access doors in order to gain entry throughout the building. When entering the J, swipe your ID card at a scanning station (located at the Guest Services and Security Desks) each time you enter the building.

ID cards may be requested for individuals who are authorized to regularly pick up children from the Pozez JCC Early Childhood Learning Center and School-Age Services programs.

All cardholders must check-in at the front desk. Cardholders who do not have their cards, and guests of the J 16 years and older, must provide a driver’s license or government issued ID.

Lost & Damaged ID Cards

Replacement of ID cards is handled at the Guest Services desk or with the Membership Department. A $10 replacement fee is charged for lost/misplaced and damaged cards. Individuals who temporarily misplace their card may enter the facility once by presenting a photo ID to the staff and signing in at the Guest Services desk.

Members over the age of 16 without an ID card from the J will be asked to scan a valid driver’s license or other state/federal issued photo identification upon arrival. Temporary guest badges will be given to authorized guests who must enter secured areas of the building.

Guests

Guests over the age of 16 are asked to present a valid driver’s license or other state/federal issued photo identification upon arrival.

 

Cardholders are encouraged to bring guests to enjoy the J, in addition, we welcome anyone 13 years and older who would like to drop in to enjoy our facilities unaccompanied by a member.

Day Pass: $10

Membership Upgrades: One-day membership upgrades are available for $10 to J-Journey and J-Pass cardholders.

A day pass must first be purchased from the J Community Portal in order to sign up for fitness, recreational, and swim programs on the My J app.

Passes for same day usage may be purchased on the J Community portal at https://thej.my.site.com/s/membership.  Please contact the Guest Services desk to purchase future day passes.
