2024 Group Fitness Classes

The J-Fit Health Club at Pozez JCC is pleased to offer a variety of group fitness classes that are led by trained and certified group fitness instructors who provide a social, supportive, and motivational atmosphere.

Due to limited class sizes, reserving your spot through the My J app is strongly encouraged to ensure your space in class and that you receive any updates about class schedules. Walk-ins will be allowed as space permits. All classes are subject to cancellation due to low participation numbers and are subject to change in class format, instructor, and class time as needed. All classes are included in your J-Family membership, however we have 6-week fitness courses that are an additional charge. Please find those sessions and registration links below.

J-Fit Power Pulse Kickboxing
Tuesdays and Thursdays, June 4-July 11 (6 weeks; no class July 4)
8am-9am
Ages: 13 and older
Prerequisites: Must be able to handle high aerobic exercise and occasional joint impact.
Join us for cardio kickboxing Tuesdays and Thursdays at 8am. Calisthenics and strike combos will get you that morning burn! Coach Shaun will track progress, hold challenges, and give a personal touch to help you reach your maximum potential. Spaces limited, register today!

J-Fit Latin Dance & Cardio

Mondays, June 3-July 10 (6 weeks)
8pm-9pm
Ages: 13 and older
Prerequisites: Must be able to handle high aerobic exercise and occasional joint impact.
Coach Karmen will lead you through choreography that incorporates Brazilian rhythms, salsa, meringue, bachata, and more every Monday night. Get your heart racing and break a sweat to some spicy music and intense moves! Spaces limited, register today!

  • Group exercise classes at the Pozez JCC are included as a benefit to Pozez JCC members.
  • We request participants to arrive at least 5 to 10 minutes before the start of class for ample time to check-in, set up any equipment, and be prepared when class begins.
  • Since class capacity is limited, pre-reservations are recommended for all classes via the My J Mobile App.
    Guests are allowed to participate in group exercise but must purchase a day pass prior to joining. Please arrive early to allow time to complete brief paperwork and make a payment.
  • Members are required to reserve a space in group fitness classes using the My J app or the Pozez JCC website from a personal device. Technical issues with reservations can be resolved by contacting J-Fit or Guest Services.
  • Class reservations open one [1] week in advance via the My J Mobile App.
  • Class reservations close 30 minutes prior to class start time via the My J Mobile App. The 30-minute closing window includes the ability to make reservations. Walk-in attendees are accepted if space allows.
  • Class reservations can be cancelled up to 30 minutes prior to class start time via the My J Mobile App. The cancellation feature is available the same way reservations are made, via the My J Mobile App.
  • If you are unable to attend your reservation, please cancel using the My J app or the Pozez JCC website from a personal device. Phone calls or emails are acknowledged, but do not guarantee exemption from being marked a “no-show.”
  • For the safety of all participants, and to avoid disruption of the class, individuals are discouraged from entering after the class begins. If you arrive more than 5 minutes after a scheduled start, you are considered “late.”
    Late arrivals may have their spot forfeited even if they have a reservation and may also be considered a late cancellation/no-show.
  • In the instance of a “No-Show” to group fitness classes: First time: A written notice will be sent to the member/member’s household primary email address stating the time and date when the fault occurred. Second time: The member’s ability to make class reservations will be disabled for 48 hours (2 days). Third time: After an accumulation of 3 “no-shows” within 30 days, the member’s ability to make class reservations will be disabled for up to 7 days.
  • For the safety of all participants, cell phone use is prohibited once class begins.
    Appropriate exercise attire and footwear are required.
  • Outdoor classes are weather dependent, and classes may be moved indoors or canceled due to weather or other emergencies. Please check the My J app or with guest services at the main entrance for information.
  • If you plan to leave the class early, please notify the instructor in advance.
  • In the rare event that there are no participants by the time class begins, the instructor will wait 10 minutes before cancelling the class.
  • Our instructors have the right to ask a participant to leave or contact security if any of these guidelines are not followed.
  • Participants who continually fail to adhere to the Class Policies & Reservation Guidelines may be subject to further restrictions or limitations at the discretion of the Pozez JCC.
