Women’s Social Impact Group
Thursday, November 13, 2025 @ 11:00 am – 12:30 pm
WSIG is a place for women of all ages and stages to turn their passions into purpose, making a positive social impact in the community. All are welcome!
Activity – Join us in person to hear from Tara S. Franklin, Project Specialist at the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children about what this organization does to support child safety. In her presentation, you will learn ways to prevent online exploitation of children, best practices for encouraging these methods, and how to support a child that has been victimized online. Guidance will be given on the many educational, prevention, and reporting tools, created by NCMEC, that can be beneficial for professionals, families, and children of all ages to stay safe online.
In January, we will take a field trip to the headquarters in Alexandria to make Bags of Hope for these traumatized children. Save the date: January 8 @ 11am!
