Volunteer Services Presents: Making Pencil Packs for At-Risk Teens

Monday, August 26, 2024 @ 1:00 pm 3:00 pm

Presented by Volunteer Services in partnership with Women’s Social Impact Group (WSIG), join us at the JCC to make pencil packs for Second Story teen programs in Falls Church. Together, we can make a difference by providing at-risk teens with tools they need to succeed in school. At the event, we’ll start by learning about Second Story and the programs they run to help at-risk teens, teens in crisis, young mothers and runaway teens in the region. Then, we’ll pack the pencil packs and enjoy light refreshments and community as we strive to make a positive impact for young people in need.

Supply List: Full-sized pack of colored pencils, full-sized pack of mechanical pencils, pack of erasers, pack of ballpoint pens and 5 pencil bags or make an $11 donation to offset the costs of this special donation project.

Ages: Ages 14+

Fee: Bring all supplies listed or donate here.

To register, click on the link below. If it is your first time volunteering with the J, you’ll need to create an account on our Volunteer Portal which will also display other volunteer opportunities.
