Volunteer Services Presents: Oakton Community Park Invasive Species Cleanup
Sunday, September 8 @ 1:00 pm – 3:00 pm
Join us at Oakton Community Park (2841 Hunter Mill Rd Oakton, VA 22124) for a lesson from Oakton naturalists on invasive species. Volunteer naturalists Karin and Willow will give us a tour of the local habitat and help us identify native and invasive species. We will then work with them to clear the invasive species from this park and restore the natural habitat. Plan to be outside for about 2H, water and light snack will be provided. Rain date September 15, 2024.
Registration is required and will be closed 2 days before the event to allow us time to prepare the materials/utensils for garden work.
