JCC Adult Outreach Programming presents Jewish American Artists

Calling all artists & art lovers! The J is excited to host museum docent Sara Shoob to present a program concentrated on works by Jewish American artists in the collection of The Smithsonian American Art Museum in collaboration with Chabad Center for Jewish Life. Participants will explore artworks dating from the 1880’s to the present – learning about the artists’ backgrounds, Jewish experiences, art movements, and contemporary issues influencing their work. Artists will include Roy Lichtenstein, Moses and Raphael Soyer, Chaim Gross, Louise Nevelson, Miriam Schapiro, and others. An engaging program with opportunities for personal connections, discussion, and questions is planned; please join us.
