The annual Ruth Spector Memorial Mah Jongg Tournament is a staple JCC fall event, now in its 17th year! The tournament offers a light brunch, along with the usual three rounds of play, yummy snacks, prizes for the top winners, and great door/raffle prizes.
NEW THIS YEAR! With the recent surge of interest in Mah Jongg, we are going to add a small NOVICE Tournament Section (no more than 4 tables) for players who have never played in a Mah Jongg Tournament before and would like to participate in a less-competitive atmosphere (2 games in a 50-minute period versus 4). Please indicate your desire to participate in the Novice Tournament by answering NO to the question regarding past tournament play. We will place tournament “newbies” in the Novice Section unless you notify us otherwise via email.
Registration must be received by close of business on Monday, November 3. No walk-ins are permitted, however a waiting list with alternates will be formed. Rules will be sent out ahead of the tournament. Players are asked to bring their 2025 NMJL cards; sets and table mats are greatly appreciated.
