Raising Resilience: How to Help our Children Thrive in Times of Uncertainty with Author Tovah Klein, Ph.D.

Sunday, March 29 @ 3:00 pm 5:00 pm

Join us for a meaningful afternoon of conversation when, together, we will explore practical, compassionate approaches to supporting children through stress, change, and uncertainty, grounded in research and real-life parenting experiences.

Dr. Klein lives in New York, is a psychology professor at Barnard College and Emerita Director of the Barnard Center for Toddler Development. She has worked with families for over 30 years, studying parental challenges, children’s learning, and social-emotional responses to traumatic events. A sought-after consultant to media companies and child and family programs worldwide, Dr. Klein is also a mother of three who deeply immerses herself in children’s worlds.

While the event is in session, free childcare and programming for children ages 18 months-10 years will be provided for parents attending the event.

Presented in proud partnership with The Jewish Book Council, Olam Tikvah Preschool, The Jewish Federation of Greater Washington, Gesher Jewish Day School, and the Pozez JCC’s Growing Jewish Families.

Free admission. RSVP required.

There will be a follow-up session on Sunday, April 26 from 3:30pm-5:00pm. Join us for a conversation with Jonnel Hector*, Director of Guidance at Gesher Jewish Day School, as we build on the insights shared by Tovah Klein, author of Raising Resilience: How to Help Our Children THRIVE in Times of Uncertainty. This session is designed to be interactive, supportive, and grounded in real family experiences. Come with questions, reflections, or simply the desire to connect with other parents. Register here.
