Jewish Classical Music performed by FMMC

Sunday, October 19 @ 3:00 pm 4:00 pm

Founded in 1886 as a community of music lovers and musicians, the Friday Morning Music Club, Inc. (FMMC), has promoted classical music in the Washington area for over 130 years. FMMC’s public concerts—now held throughout the week and no longer just on Friday mornings… are free and performed as a public service. All are invited.

This FMMC program will include 4 pieces by Jewish composers and two well-known Jewish holiday pieces: Kol Nidrei and Eliahu HaNavi.
• Max Bruch: Kol Nidrei. John Kaboff, cello.
• Ernst Bloch: Suite No. 1 for Solo Cello. John Kaboff, cello.
• Judith Shatin: Chai Variations on Eliahu HaNavi. Joan Mizrahi, piano.
• Darius Milhaud: Suite for Violin, Clarinet, and Piano, Op. 157b. Eunju Kwak, violin; Albert Hunt, clarinet; Jeongseon Choi, piano.

Join us for a free Jewish-themed classical concert with fabulous FMMC artists at the J!

Fee: Complimentary for all, however, advanced registration is required.
