Gather and Give Community Cooking Event for Hypothermia Prevention Week
Sunday, January 11 @ 2:00 pm – 4:00 pm
Join us in the JCC kitchen to prepare a warm, nourishing meal for our unhoused neighbors. On Monday, we’ll be cooking chili and cornbread for dinner and making sandwiches for lunch. On Wednesday, we’ll be making chili and enchiladas and rice for dinner and making sandwiches for lunch. No cooking experience required – just bring a helping heart! Volunteers will help with: chopping, stirring, sandwich assembly, portioning meals, and clean-up. All ingredients will be provided.
The Pozez JCC is partnering with Bethlehem Lutheran Church to house and feed those in need during the colder months as part of FACETS Hypothermia Prevention Program. This year we are hosting guests January 11-18 (A week leading to Martin Luther King Jr. Day!).
