This ongoing, in-person course is designed for beginners to the Hebrew language who are familiar with the Hebrew alef bet and vowels or those who took some Hebrew a long time ago and need an extensive refresher. Brand-new students must be assessed by the instructor prior to class.
This course will help you learn important vocabulary, grammar, and common phrases and sentences/questions using a variety of resources.
Each student must purchase the textbook, “Hebrew from Scratch Part 1” (generally available on Amazon or Abe Books). The book uses quotations from all eras of Hebrew writing and has a Hebrew-English Dictionary which includes all vocabulary and grammatical terminology and is used in all levels of classes.
Whether you are planning a future trip to Israel or interested in learning the Hebrew language for your own knowledge, this course will give you an excellent foundation.
Minimum number of students is 8; maximum is 12.
