ECLC - Fairfax

Pozez JCC’s Early Childhood Learning Center is a licensed preschool and childcare facility that provides a safe and loving environment for children six weeks to five years old. Our program emphasizes joyful Jewish experiences and values, and a connection to community.

Our school follows a Reggio Emilia-based philosophy and involves the children as an active part of their own learning and the direction it takes. Our nurturing Educators use a developmental approach to understanding children’s abilities and enabling them to gain confidence and independence.

ECLC Aquatics Enrichment

Enrolled ECLC children can take advantage of swim lessons during the school day!

September 3-December 19 (4 weeks; no class Sept. 2 and Nov. 11)
One 30-minute session per week. Day will be assigned.
1:15pm-1:45pm and 1:45pm-2:15pm
Ages: 3-5
Prerequisite: Potty training is required.

Our program offers a supportive environment where young swimmers can comfortably explore the water in small group sessions. Utilizing flotation aids, toys, diving rings, hula hoops, and more, our instructors engage and challenge participants while fostering confidence and skill development.

Depending on each swimmer’s comfort level and prior experience, our curriculum introduces fundamental techniques of freestyle and backstroke. Group placement is carefully determined based on swimmer skills, age, and other relevant factors to ensure optimal learning and safety.

To assist us in tailoring the experience to your swimmer’s needs, we kindly request that you complete the accompanying questionnaire detailing their swimming background. For any inquiries or further assistance, please feel free to reach out to Ivanna.Washington@theJ.org. We look forward to welcoming your swimmer to our program and helping them embark on a journey of aquatic learning and enjoyment.
