La Lucha follows the inspiring 35-day, 250-mile journey of activists Feliza, Mareele, Rose Mery, and Miguel, who marched across the Andes to La Paz advocating for disability rights. Despite harsh conditions and hostility, their determination, supported by allies, led to laws recognizing disability rights in Bolivia, showcasing the power of collective action.
After the film, join a panel on Disability Rights Advocacy – Empowering Change, where experts will discuss breaking barriers to inclusion and promoting policies for equal access to education, healthcare, and employment.
Concluding our evening will be our final reception, where we’ll raise our glasses to celebrate the conclusion of this incredible festival. We look forward to toasting to the memories and moments we’ve shared.
