Save the Date – HorizonWALKS April 27, 2025! Help raise the critical funds needed to run Horizon Day Camp. Recognizing the extraordinary financial demands that a child’s chronic illness can have on a family, Horizon Day Camps and Year-Round Programs are always provided free of charge to the families and exist ONLY through the generosity of others.
We hosted our 3rd Annual HorizonWALKS on Sunday, April 14th at the Jumbotron at National Harbor in Oxon Hill, MD.
We had 31 teams register and over 150 participants came out to walk, along with another 30 staff and volunteers – an incredible show of support for Horizon Day Camp! Thank you to our host, Fox 5’s Shomari Stone.
There is no other summer program like this in the Greater Washington Area. Every dollar raised stays in the DMV.
Private donations/grants by foundations, businesses and very special individuals, as well as special events including Horizon/SunriseWALKS-Metro-DC, will underwrite the costs of running the camp which is the first of its kind here in the DC area.
