Volunteer Services + Growing Jewish Families Presents: Reverse Tashlich at Lake Accotink

Sunday, October 13 @ 9:00 am 12:00 pm

During Tashlich, a Jewish tradition practiced during the High Holiday season, people symbolically cast away their regrets into a body of water, reflecting spiritual renewal and repentance.

This year, embrace a meaningful twist on tradition with Reverse Tashlich! Gather with us to help clean up Lake Accotink, removing litter and restoring the beauty of our local waters. This is a community clean up to collect trash and debris from the lake and surrounding areas.

Wear comfortable clothes to be outdoors, and sturdy shoes. All equipment will be provided by Friends of Lake Accotink Park. Come ready to make a difference and connect with fellow volunteers.

RSVP by October 11. We will send you a map with the exact spot to meet once you register.

We know families with young children may not be able to stay the whole time – come as you can!
