JCC Community Choir/Makheylah (In-Person)
Wednesday, March 6 @ 7:45 pm – 9:00 pm
If you like to sing and are interested in singing Jewish songs, join the JCC Community Choir! This is a great opportunity to connect musically to the Jewish tradition. The choir is open to high schoolers, college students, and adults of all ages in Northern Virginia. All singing abilities are welcome! Our choir has something for everyone: experienced singers will receive advanced material, singers with moderate choral or vocal background will be well-engaged, and those who just hum a little will fit right in!
Our repertoire ranges from secular to religious and includes synagogue music, Yiddish theater, folksongs, and Israeli songs. We sing in various languages, too: Hebrew, English, Yiddish, Ladino, and others. The session will include one or two short performances (tbd). Come – let’s sing!
Fees (include sheet music): General Adult – $145; Active-Duty Military/Veterans – $120; Students: $90
