J-Talks presents: “The Politzer Saga” with Author Linda Ambrus Broenniman

Wednesday, June 26 @ 10:30 am 12:00 pm

JCC Outreach Program in Collaboration with Beth El Hebrew Congregation

A box found among the ashes of a house fire launches Linda Broenniman on a quest to discover the truth behind her family’s biggest secret – that her Catholic father was actually Jewish. Broenniman tells the story of how she pieces together the astonishing history of eight generations of ancestors – the Politzer family – and their remarkable lives almost lost to her father’s buried past. Dating back to 18th century Hungary, “The Politzer Saga” is a tale of highly accomplished doctors, entrepreneurs and industrialists, artists and musicians and art collectors who lived, suffered, and prevailed through significant events in the world around them. Today, a permanent exhibition of the same name resides on the 3rd floor of the Rumbach Synagogue in Budapest!

Join Linda Broenniman as she brings each character to life with luminescent clarity in her poignant narrative. Light refreshments will be served. A book sale and signing will take place after the presentation.

$5 Payable at the door, includes light refreshments
