The Abayudaya\, who number about 2\,000 souls\, are concentrated in a few towns and villages in eastern Uganda and western Kenya. DESCRIPTION:Every day\, blood donors help patients of all ages: accident and burn victims\, heart surgery and organ transplant patients\, and those battling cancer. In fact\, every two seconds\, someone in the U.S. needs blood. It is likely that you or someone you know will need a blood transfusion in your lifetime.  \n\n\n\nDue to recent drastic shortfalls of donations over the last several weeks\, donors of all blood types are critically needed\, especially those with type O blood. \n\n\n\nAs a thanks for all donors who come to give blood at our August 7th event\, American Red Cross will send you a $20 Amazon.com Gift Card by email. Plus\, Pozez JCC will get a BONUS $100 Amazon.com Gift Card\, by email when we meet our blood drive goal! It’s a win\, win\, win. \n\n\n\nThe blood donation process from the time you arrive until the time you leave takes about an hour. The donation itself is only about 8-10 minutes on average. In order to qualify for whole blood donation\, you must be in good health and feeling well\, at least 16 years of age (with signed parental consent) and weigh at least 110 lbs.
