This is a great opportunity to connect musically to the Jewish tradition. DESCRIPTION:This in-person class is designed for people that have a rich Hebrew vocabulary (very comfortable using 100 or more words)\, understand the basic grammar structures\, and would like to expand their conversational skills in day-to-day language\, as well as engage in other topics of conversation. Directed by Carey Perloff; Produced in association with The Huntington \n\n\n\nThe show tells the story of how a Jewish family grows and struggles over the course of nearly 60 years\, beginning with their initial assimilation into Viennese culture\, negotiating the outbreak of two World Wars through to the aftermath of the Holocaust. Traversing decades of joy and strife\, the family strives to maintain their delicate bonds of shared history. The show is a new arrangement by celebrated playwright/director Carey Perloff that she crafted with Stoppard. “Leopoldstadt” offers “an intensely personal family drama” (Variety) for the holiday season. \n\n\n\nJoin us for the show\, then afterwards\, we will make a stop at the Jukebox Diner in Annandale for coffee and dessert (on own tab).
