Come to this comprehensive driver retraining class taught by Isabelle Zsoldos. Learn to adjust your skills to compensate for changes in hearing\, vision\, flexibility\, and reaction time. Participants who attend BOTH days will receive a certificate for a discount on insurance for three years. \n\n\n\nThis 8-hour course will be taught over two days. Bring a brown bag meatless lunch/snack to eat during the course. \n\n\n\nPreregistration is required. Minimum of 8 and maximum of 30 participants. \n\n\n\nFee: $20 AARP Members (please bring your AARP Membership Card); $25 all others. Payable\, by cash or check\, directly to AARP at the door during check-in on first day. \n\n\n\nThis program is provided as a community service; all fees collected go to AARP. DESCRIPTION:Special Screening of “Alex’s Group” and Conversation with Director Yonatan Nir \n\n\n\nJoin Pozez JCC\, JCRC of Greater Washington\, and JSSA for a meaningful community gathering in honor of Yom HaZikaron – Israel’s Memorial Day for Fallen Soldiers and Victims of Terror. \n\n\n\nThe evening will feature a screening of the Israeli documentary “Alex’s Group\,” followed by a conversation with the film’s director\, Yonatan Nir\, together with Rabbi Rachel Hersh from JSSA. \n\n\n\nThe film follows eight Israelis from diverse backgrounds who participate in a year-long therapeutic photography group led by Israel Prize–winning photographer Alex Levac. Through powerful images and open conversations\, the group explores the personal and collective impact of trauma on individuals\, families\, and communities. \n\n\n\nWhile rooted in the Israeli experience\, the film raises universal questions about how people and societies cope with loss\, trauma\, support one another in times of hardship\, and find paths toward healing\, resilience\, and hope. \n\n\n\nFollowing the screening\, the director will share the story behind the film and reflect on trauma\, community\, and post-traumatic growth. \n\n\n\nEvent Program:-Opening moment in honor of Yom HaZikaron-Opening remarks by director Yonatan Nir-Screening of “Alex’s Group” (60 min)-Reflections on trauma\, community\, and resilience with director Yonatan Nir\, JSSA’s Rabbi Rachel Hersh\, and the audience \n\n\n\nThis program is free.
