SUMMARY:Women’s Wisdom and Leadership in Jewish Texts and Contemporary Homes
DESCRIPTION:Instructors: Priscilla Askenas and Zina Segal \n\n\n\nJoin us for a meaningful five-part series that celebrates the voices of Jewish women from our classical texts; bringing their wisdom into our contemporary homes. Each gathering offers an opportunity for both learning and creativity\, exploring the leadership and legacy of a different woman from Jewish tradition\, followed by crafting a unique item of Judaica connected to her story. Each project will be something one can proudly use in their own Shabbat and holiday rituals. \n\n\n\nParticipants may register for a single session or purchase the full series at a discounted rate. Over the course of the program\, participants will create their own full set of handmade ritual items: a challah board\, kiddush cup\, Shabbat candlesticks\, a Havdalah candle\, and a beautifully decorated tambourine. \n\n\n\nSeries ScheduleThursday\, December 11 – Eve: Hand-painted Kiddush CupTuesday\, February 3 – Sarah: Shabbat CandlesticksWednesday\, March 4 – Miriam: Decorated Tambourine with Jewish CalligraphyThursday\, May 7 – Deborah: Handmade Havdalah Candle \n\n\n\nFee: Individual Events – $25 Members/$30 Non-membersAll remaining 4 events: $75 Members/ $95 Non-members \n\n\n\nPurchase the series here.
