However\, in recent years\, amid extreme polarization\, the media has come under scrutiny for how they deliver the news\, while public figures have demonized the journalism industry and stoked anger among viewers. \n\n\n\nOnce-revered journalists like Murrow\, Cronkite\, Woodward and Bernstein have been replaced in part by a new generation of news professionals who emphasize social media views and sensationalist commentary over accurate and well-sourced information. \n\n\n\nOur distinguished panel of diverse journalists will discuss how we arrived in an era where the weaponization of information has become commonplace in media and the public discourse.
