SUMMARY:Music & Morsels: Piyyutim (Virtual)
DESCRIPTION:In partnership with the National JCC Adult & Senior Alliance \n\n\n\nSave! Get “Early Bird” pricing; purchase before September 30. \n\n\n\nThe piyyutim are Jewish liturgical poems written throughout the ages\, many of which made their way into spiritual gatherings and even into prayer books. What exactly makes it a piyyut? Who wrote these poems? \n\n\n\nWhether or not you celebrate the Jewish High Holidays\, get the answers to these and more questions by joining multi-instrumentalist Asaf Ophir for a live concert using piyyutim as lyrics to celebrate a tradition that is as old as Judaism itself\, with some of the most well-known melodies such as Yedid Nefesh\, Shalom Aleichem\, and Lecha Dodi.
