Prevnar 20 is for ages 65+ or individuals with immunocompromising conditions as listed by CDC.Pneumonia vaccine – Pneumovax-23\, age 65+ (unless one has chronic illness such as diabetes\, asthma\, COPD\, smoker\, then they need it earlier)Shingles – Shingrix\, age 50+ ( 2-shot series separated by 2-6 months)Hepatitis A Havrix\, age 18+ (2 shot series separated by 6 months)Hepatitis B Engerix-b\, age 18+ (3 shot series 0\,1\, then 6 months)T-dap – Boostrix\, age 18+ (Booster every 10 years) \n\n\n\nInsurance Information: \n\n\n\nMedicare-B (65+) covers flu and pneumonia at no charge to patient \n\n\n\nCigna\, Federal plan\, Tricare\, and Carefirst medical plans cover all the above vaccines at no charge to patient. Most Aetna plans cover vaccines. From Jimmy Carter to Barak Obama\, Maer covered important events including the Camp David Accords\, the fall of the Berlin Wall\, the days following the assassination of Itzak Rabin\, and more. In addition to anecdotes\, Maer will share personal photos of his encounters with these world leaders\, including memorable Jewish-related experiences. A Q&A will follow his presentation. Join us for our fall kick-off event and experience a unique timeline of American history. \n\n\n\nSpeaker Bio: A long-time White House correspondent\, Peter Maer covered the beat from 1986 until his 2015 retirement from CBS News. Maer was a voice for national news for nearly 40 years. He covered presidential politics\, and major national and international disasters with honors including the prestigious Edward R. Murrow Award\, five Merriman Smith Awards for Presidential Coverage and the Overseas Press Award. He is the recipient of the Interfaith Alliance Walter Cronkite Faith and Freedom Award. He was inducted into the Society of Professional Journalists Hall of Fame. Maer and his wife Elizabeth are longtime members of Congregation Olam Tikvah where Peter serves on the Board of Directors.
