You don’t need any previous volleyball experience to play. Whether you’re already athletic or simply looking for a new way to meet women\, get moving\, and have fun together\, this group is for you. \n\n\n\nWe’re launching the group as a 4-week pilot program. DESCRIPTION:Check-in and Brunch begin at 11:30am; Tournament begins promptly at 12:30pmTournament Sponsor: Marilyn Morrison;Tournament Director: Bette ShanleyAges 18+Sponsored by Northern Virginia Jewish Funerals \n\n\n\nThe Annual Ruth Spector Memorial Mah Jongg Tournament is a favorite JCC fall event\, now in its 18th (chai) year! The tournament offers a light brunch\, three rounds of play\, yummy snacks\, prizes for the top winners\, and raffles. Join us for an afternoon of food\, friendly competition\, and fun! \n\n\n\nDesignated Game Sections are selected at the time of registration. \n\n\n\nRecreational Games Section:The Recreational Section (limited to 6 tables) is for players who are new to American Mah Jongg (learned the game in the last year) and would like to participate in a less-competitive atmosphere (3 games in a 50-minute period). \n\n\n\nCompetitive Games Section:The Competitive Section is for experienced players who will play 4 games in the same 50-minute time period.  \n\n\n\nRegistration must be received by close of business on Monday\, November 9. No walk-ins permitted\, however a waiting list with alternates will be formed. Rules will be sent out ahead of the tournament. \n\n\n\nEach player is required to bring a 2026 NMJL card. \n\n\n\nMah Jongg sets (white or light tiles\, no stickered tiles are preferred) and table mats are greatly appreciated. \n\n\n\nFee: $60 Members/$65 Non-members (includes brunch\, snacks and tournament fee) \n\n\n\nVolunteers are needed for the event.
